alternate feed?

what do you feed your chickens if you run out of feed and payday is a few days off? dog food? i have corn, but not the layer pellets...
 
The corn you have and some kitchen scraps will hold them over. I wouldn't give them dog food though.
 
thanks! now i won't worry as much .... been one of those months of too much for the ol budget
