Can you tell if this 2 week old EE is a roo or not yet...

The other 2 I have do not have combs like this one yet...and this one acts wild compared to the other two calm ones...
I think it is too early still, but maybe someone can help me out.

My EE roo had those three rows of bumps on his comb around that age....

Lady was supposed to actually BE a lady!

But I'm no expert, just comparing. You should go ask around the "EE braggers thread" there's some nice, helpful folks there!

I think that they are both pullets, but I'm not positive. It's hard to tell with those darn pea-comb breeds. I love my EE's though, so I hope that they are ladies to give you some nice, colorful eggs!

Lady is 100% rooster- my flock is just over 13 weeks old, and he crows up a storm. That was just a picture of him around the same age as that of the OP.

Yes I agree, now at 5 weeks...besides behavior....the comb on top is becoming more distinct...even at this early age.

I have 3 other roos, all EE/cross...I do believe I may end up keeping this one, I wanted 2 for my 15 pullets...so far I have a winner for the keeper...and one I know I am getting rid of
but if they carry the EE trait, for blue eggs, I may keep the one I know is a pure EE..not the mix....

we will see how he grows up. The other 2 I have with him, run to me at this young age, and let me hold them...he does NOT.
