Am I dense or is the Standard of perfection not sold anywhere?

So, for a year or two now I've been getting more interested in showing birds, and the thing I see everywhere is that you need the standard of perfection, anyone wanting to show needs it and the way birds are judged is by their standard in this book. Thing is, I can't seem to find it anywhere. The website has it sold out every time I check, and i cant find it being sold new anywhere. Only place is ebay, but what mostly comes up are books from before the 50's, and any newer ones like 2010 are priced in the hundreds.

I'm not sure if being located in Canada has somehow made it really difficult or if this book has always been hard to get ahold of.

I've been showing beef cattle since I was 9, which I suppose is why I'm interested in showing other animals as well, but in that world there's no pay locked information you need to understand cattle conformation or breeding. It's been making this rather annoying and frustrating for me. If anyone could give me some insight on where you find this book or the standards in it, or if there's a digital version it would be endlessly appreciated.

I think you have to find one online, I just borrow one from my friend lol.

I agree, not being able to access the information is very frustrating. I used to be in the dog show world and it was easy to find breed standards.

If there are particular breeds you are interested in, you can look at the parent websites for those breeds and some of them will have a SOP pdf available. Just as an example, I found this one on the LF buckeye parent page.
