am i giving to much to much greens

I'd think it would depend on how many chickens you have. Twice a day seems a bit much. I have 8 and I give mine a very soft head of lettuce (or cabbage) maybe about every other week. I hang it out in the outside run with a 1/8" nylon rope and I hang it from the top of the run. The poop is runny but the next day it seems to start to solidify again.

TwoCrows x2. Mine will eat the lettuce more or less a half hour because after about 15 minutes the older ones (pecking order) start getting enough. then my newer hens will have their turn at what's left. If any is left, they may peck at it later on.
