Maybe it's just me, but the longer I spend out in the coop, whether visiting or cleaning, etc., the more I feel like I have creepy crawlies all over me! Of course, every once in a while I do actually have a critter on me. Is it my imagination??? Anyone else have this (imaginary?) problem?

Yup. You're bonkers..

Best solution, just go out there, get suuuuper messy, roll in some sticky mud---maybe a little cow poop---- slap on a few handfuls of grass, and then let 'er dry.

Shower, rinse, repeat.

Pretty soon, the coop will be nothing.

Chickens eat super-sized creepy crawlies.

Besides, the OP said they FELT they had buggies, not that there WERE buggies.

Valid point. Livestock are not the best "hobbies" for the OCD, neat freak or otherwise dirt challenged individuals.

lol, what you are describing is poultry mites or lice. they do get on you and creepy crawl all around but you rarely see them. You need to treat your birds. I use Ivermectin twice a year but you can so a search to find many recommendations.

What form is the Ivermectin, powder or liquid? How do you administer it? We have some Ivermectin for worming our dairy goats......never thought of it for mites on the chickens.

We also have these invisible itch mites and thought we were going mad. We never had them before until the present lot of girls. We are not sure if its ok to use the eggs if you use Ivermectin or any other insecticide and not sure how to apply it.
