I'm worrying because we moved her to a different location since tomorrow is day 18, and I read on here day 18 is when you stop turning the eggs. And the eggs shift when I check her eggs from freshly layed eggs, cuz other chickens lay their eggs next to her and she tucks them in.
What I'm worried about is that when we moved her to her own little place to hatch and raise the chicks, she got up to eat and drink. But she was shaking and re-fluffing her feathers, itching herself, the whole time I was saying to myself "what are you doing.. go back to your eggs!". How long will it take for the eggs to die if she gets up to do stuff? This saturday is day 21 !!!
What are signs of a broody snapping out of broodiness? I must know because we do not have an incubator, its all on mommy chicken if they live or not. This is our first clutch of eggs too, 5 eggs.
Did we move her too soon? I just didn't want other chickens coming in to lay eggs then hearing pipping, or seeing chicks come out and killing the chicks!!
How do I know if I have any dead eggs..? Ugh I just want everything to be perfect!
