I have a black breasted red old english game hen who got lost for the last few days, turns out she made a nest in the field next to our house, anyway, she battled off a HUGE dog, i can't think of the breed and a fox, i saw all this today when she was running back to the coop, then 10 mins later she went to go sit back on her eggs... anyway it was a site.

She is a good little mama. Poor thing. Are you going to move her and her nest into the coop b/c I bet the dog and/or fox will be back?

YES, put her and hers in a safe place, reassure her as you are doing it, too...

we can't move her. mostly because we cant find the EXACT place of the nest, we know the general area and last time she had a nest outside the coop we moved her and she stopped sitting and we really need a broody !!
