I didn't do a lot of research before I bought 5 amberlinks to add to my flock. I just did a quick google search and saw they were good egg layers and seemed to be a good hen, plus they were close by from a reliable source at a good price. I was talking to a friend who said he got rid of his because the eggs were too small. So far mine have just started laying and some of the eggs are a little over golf ball size and some are larger. The one thread I found on here someone mentioned they laid jumbo eggs similar to RIR and Golden Comets. Will they get bigger as they get a month or so older, or is what I have now what I will get. They are early on and not all of them are laying yet.

All hens start out laying smaller eggs. They slowly enlarge over the season. The second season the eggs will be a bit bigger. Egg size is determined by breeding. Since Amberlinks are basically a mix breed every hen will lay differently. Even in purebred birds egg size can vary.
