hi i have a hen with a very large growth spot on top of her head. when she walks it jiggles and leans over on the side. thanks

Either a big abscess or tumor. If you can't get her to a vet, you could try to drain it to see if it's an infection.

how would you suggest draining the spot? use a pin needle?

If it feels more like fluid than solid I would drain it. If perhaps she got a sliver of wood or something else in there it will need drained. I would buy a razor blade and just lance it about 1/4 inch and see what happens. If it drains try to get all the fluid out by pressing on the area. Then start her on a antibiotic.
