Ameraucana or EE?

Bought these two hens and the roo from a guy who called them Araucana....obviously not! What I WOULD like to know is if they are Ameraucana or EE? Both hens lay beautiful green eggs. They have the muffs, beards, and pea combs. The girls are still looking pretty rough from their first molt and I do believe I have the MOST camera shy chickens in the world! If they do happen to be Ameraucana what color are they considered? The guy actually called me back about two weeks later and wanted to buy the rooster back but would not say why....

The second one is EE. Green legs and looks exactly like one of mine. I think it may be a roo though????Did it lay yet??/

So the green legs make it an EE? This is all so confusing for a newby!

Yes, she lays a green egg every day! I could have sworn she was a roo too until she started laying.

OMG! They are so much alike! Except for the legs. My two girls dont have the green legs. They are more of a slate color.

They are all EEs. This is what the Ameraucana Breeders Club has to say about EEs:

The Ameraucana Breeders Club defines an Easter Egg Chicken or Easter Egger as any chicken that possesses the blue egg gene, but doesn’t fully meet any breed description as defined in the APA and/or ABA standards. Further, even if a bird meets a standard breed description, but doesn’t meet a variety description or breed true at least 50% of the time it is considered an Easter Egg chicken.

Green eggs make it an EE. I think Ameraucanas are supposed to lay blue eggs.

Okay, I give! They are all mutts. But, they are beautiful and the girls lay x-large pretty green eggs. I am getting ready to put 24 of their eggs in the bator and see what comes out!

Yup. EE's are probably be the best backyard breed of all.

(Don't say that in front of people who have another favorite breed. But they are just prejudiced.
