Ameraucana pullet or cockerel?

I have a nearly 4 week old Ameraucana chick. I need to know the gender because I really want to keep her, but I already have a rooster.

Beard=Ee/Ameracauna....Feathered legs=Buff Brahma,etc....is this cutie a mix or am I missing something?

She/he is a red partridge Ameraucana/Bantam Cochin mix (that is why she has no beard and has feathered legs).

I bred her from my own backyard flock. Her mother is indeed an Ameraucana, and her father a Bantam Cochin.

That mother hen is an Easter egger not an Ameraucana.

I would say that chick is a rooster, just because that comb looks pretty big for that age but peacombs can be real tricky that early on.

And you're saying he/she doesn't have a beard? Sort of looked like it from the pics you had posted...but you're the one who has him/her in person so you would know!
Good luck in the gender inquiry..I'm in the same boat with five EE's of my own...at eight weeks I'm still not sure what I've got. Sigh...silly birds!

The little chick is not at all aggressive towards the others or anyone, or even skiddish. He/she is sweet and will jump up onto you to say hello. I just figured out how to sex young chicks, but its too late to wing sex her now. I really want to keep her because she is just so beautiful. Her mother was just mauled and eaten by a pack of dogs, and she was the only chick of the clutch to have those colors. I found a picture of when she was 2 weeks old.
