Hi guys. I'm new to the chicken world and have only been at this for a few months. 2 of my chickens are one or the other. They are about 2 months old. They were sold as ameraucanas. My question really isn't about them in specific, I want to know what defines a chicken as one or the other? How can you tell a true ameraucana from an EE? When can you tell?
I was told today that *name* has been raising birds for years and mine are definitely ameraucana because they are the only ones with muffs- which I know is bull. I keep getting unwanted advice from people who have been raising chickens their whole lives and get treated like an idiot when I contradict "facts" that are totally wrong like the above mentioned fact.
I turn to you guys for some real answers.
