Hello everybody, long time no post! A few topics below if you feel like reading lol

1 - I'm getting my chicks in June and my breeder will be custom breeding me Easter Eggers which will be Silver Sussex hen x White Ameraucana roo. We're both pretty excited and were wondering if anyone has ever done this cross before (It doesn't have to be ONLY silver/white combo, that's just what she had to work with)? How did they turn out? Egg colour? Personality/temperament? Ameraucana roos only, though please :)

2 - If anyone is interested, I went from 9 chicks to 12 and now I'm at 20 xD The breeds I went with are Australorps, Salmon Faverolles, White Orpingtons, True Greens (new green-laying hybrid from MM), Cream Legbars, Ameraucanas, Easter Eggers and Silver-Laced Wyandottes :O I NEED an easter basket. I NEED some colour in my life lol so anyone with any tips to make my basket as colourful as possible, fire away!

3 - My rooster is going to be a white Ameraucana, so.. out of those breeds I am definitely crossing him with the Faverolles to make Favaucanas (green layer) and the White Orpingtons, trying to make a slate/lavender-looking egg colour since some Orps lay a kind of pinkish egg.. and I shall dub them Orpaucanas :p Did anyone ever get grey-lavender coloured eggs? What was the cross?

SO! I have a heck of a project planned for 2019 (I know I know, we just BARELY got into 2018 lol) and would like to know what you all think of the above random questions lol thank you!

I'd get a white layer while you're at it! Can't go wrong with Leghorns or anconas!

Do you have any experience with those breeds? How is their temperaments with people (children too if you happen to have any young ones around!) and the flock? Do they tend to bully other flock members?

Depends on the temperament. I have a blue andulasion and she is just the sweetest! I had an ancona at one point (and are getting five more soon!) and she was noisy and did not want to be near people. It really depends on temperament and how they are raised.

I have a super friendly ancona hen that loves to talk to me while I tend to the garden. Leghorns are actually pretty skittish. My leghorn hen only ever comes up to me for treats.
