Hello Everyone,
I am new member and a new chicken MaMa. I have 7 pullets which I adore.
(4) 10 week olds ~ Barred Rock,"Bell" ~ RI Red "Lucy"~ Black Australorp "Maggie"and Ameraucana "Easter"
Then last week I added
(2) Orpingtons (1) Buff "Daisy" and (1) Lavender "Violet"
(1) Light Brahma 22 weeks old who has been faithfully laying an egg every day for us

My question is about the Ameraucana she is very pretty and looks like a game bird with puffy cheeks
her feet are green. Does this mean she will lay green eggs? I thought I read the color of their egg is
dictated by the color of her feet. Is this true?

These pictures are right before they went to the coop I will add a better one of her soon.

This is a terrible picture but look at her feet

My Ameraucana looks just like that. I do not know the answer to your question but it would be interesting to see if the is any connection.

She isnt an ameraucana, she is an easter egger. And she won't lay a green egg just because of her leg color. I don't think there is any way to tell what color an EE will lay because they can lay pink, green, or blue. I had two EEs that had green legs and layed blue eggs. I had another EE with green legs that layed a pink egg.
