American Gamefowl in Central Florida

Looking for leads on an American Gamefowl in Central Florida (I'm in Ocala area).

Full disclosure: I'm pretty new to chickens and just finished reading Free Range Survival Chickens from Florida Bullfrog.
Excited to really give this a shot!

My game/production mixes are my favorites. They're immune to predators and still highly productive

Looking for leads on an American Gamefowl in Central Florida (I'm in Ocala area).

They're pretty common on craigslist. Try searching for "stag" if normal search terms don't find anything. You can also order gamefowl from commercial hatcheries like Cackle. I don't think they're "game" as in chicken fighters, because the mindless berserker gene is probably washed out, but this is a good thing for food production purposes

I, too, read Bullfrog's book. I am looking for the easy way 1st- American Gamefowl. Did you ever find a Florida source to purchase Gamefowl? I live in NW Florida.
