American Gamefowl

I would just throw some feed in a cage and the momma would most likely go in it with them to give them a treat. Trying to get the babies when she's not around will result in you getting attacked probably. She most likely won't leave there side anyways. She will sit on them till they have hatched and dried for a day or 2 and then take them with her everywhere.

I understand the angst and my advice would be to leave her be while she is setting as it appears she has chosen a good place. Watch her closely as the 21st day approaches and after the first chick hatches, they hatch in succession fairly soon thereafter. Then if you are lucky, she will stay on the nest an additional night. This will allow you to get her and the chicks moved under the cover of darkness to a more secure cage or shelter. It should be noted that this is the best case scenario but game hens have been successfully raising chicks for centuries and they are damn good at it. Good luck and keep us posted as things progress forward.

What is the best way to move the chicks without her attacking me? What warning signs does she give that she might attack? What precautions do I take? Will she come off the nest occasionally like she does when brooding? I might pile them into a basket when she's gone for a sec and then move them.
Catch her and the Lil ones at night. Chickens are practically blind at night. That's what I did. Don't try to chase her during the day that won't go well
