Americana chicken still not laying

We have 2 Americana Hens that are 6 months old...shouldn't they be laying by now? Is it possible some hens never lay eggs???

They all lay, just on their time and not ours! Patience, Grasshopper. Eggs will come.

Some chickens just take longer than others to get started. You're still in the ball park at 6 months. The wait can be super hard!

I have a six month Americana hen and she is not laying eggs either . I also have a barred rock and a silver laced Wyandotte that are the same age and they have been laying an egg a day for over a month now.

I have americanas also. They are about the same as yours. Mine just started. I had to give them more protein. They aren't steady layers yet but they are getting there.
