Could someone please show me a picture of a well bred americauna hen or refer to somewhere on the internet.
I'm wondering if my Americauna hens are well-bred.
Also, what colours are allowed for Americauna hens.
I can send in photos of my hens if you would like?

Its really hard to find Purebred Ameraucana Hens. Chances are unless you got chicks from a top notch breeder you have Easter Eggers, which aren't showable so 'well bred' doesn't matter much. Though if you're thinking of breeding them for quality or colour then different rules apply. C:

I could probably tell if you have Easter Eggers or Ameraucana, because Ameraucana's only come in a rare handful of colours ^^ If you can, Please post pictures!!

I'll see. Mine are just pullets but can you tell if they will have the facial feathering at that age?
I'll head out to the coop and snap a pic of them!
If they're gonna be bearded they will show it at chicks, there are some rare cases but for the most part, if they're gonna be bearded they'd show it as soon as they were hatched/born/adopted ^^

This I one of them. I'll post the other two.

The second one.

Those are neither Ameraucana or Easter Eggers from first glance! Wow, you were sold something really wrong from what you were told if they called them Ameraucana!! The first one really reminds me of a black star or Andalusian, but to be honest all these chickens are probably mixes...

The second looks like a New Hampshire, third has the body shape of a barnevlder almost but no where near the colour or markings. I will do some looking through my books and get back to you if I can give you a guess on that last pretty lady ^^

Oh, and just like with dogs/cats/ect, just because they are mixed breed doesn't make them any lesser of a pet or friend :D
