My 14 month old americauna won't leave her perch/coop this morning. She was acting perfectly normal yesterday. She is not Broody.(She has been before and this is not the same).
She just standing on her perch, listless and continually closing her eyes.
Her poo has been pretty watery the past couple weeks -- could it be worms? do worms kill chickens? are eggs safe to eat if they have worms?
We recently added two new 10wk olds to their run but have kept them pretty much separated for most of the time. The young ones have been vaccinated and look healthy for the past 7 weeks.
The sick hen is the coop leader in the pecking order and is also the one who best gets along with the new additions and seems the least stressed by them.
please help.. any advice you can offer is much appreciated.
