My rhode island red/americuna 8 week old chick looks just like a mini americuna but it is starting to get longer tail feathers and has very very small bumps on the legs where the spurs would be. Uhg please don't be a roo...

There's no such thing as an "americuna". Do you mean EasterEgger?

Pics are really the only way to help. Females can have "bumps" and even spurs as well.

What the above person is saying is that the breed Ameraucana is a very rare breed, but stores such as TSC, and many breeders refer to them as Americanas when in all actuality, they are Easter Eggers. Post pics and we can help you out.

Ameraucauna.

This breed is often spelled incorectly when a seller is trying to pass EEs (a mixed breed) off as Ameraucaunas. Post some pics and you will get plenty of opinions on the sex (and breed) of your bird.

Hey CCourson...we post and edit at the same time now? I guess great minds do think alike.

....and you owe me a coke.

(I still forgot to edit the word "incorrectly" above but I'll leave it alone.)

[I didn't fix the incorrect spelling either... I forgot the "u".]

I realize how terrible I am spelling when typing that breed. EE is so much easier. It 98% of the time is correct anyway...

As for your coke, you must settle for plain diet, as I lack cherry flavoring. We are so far off topic at this point.

Again, OP, I say, post a pic and we can try to help
