Amount of nestboxes

Im seeing in articles where they say you should have 1 nest box per 4 hens. How many people here do that? Or do you do something different?

that is good idea unless you want a shortage of eggs or eggs laid on the floor

I use the "One nest box per 4 hen" rule also but still find one on the floor, occasionally.
