i let them out today because it was so pretty and i was out with them all day.it was also very windy, which i think helped.i was looking at them about 75 ft away and then i saw it swoop down.it appeared to be a coopers.it was small compared to the hens it was after.i yelled before it made contact and the chickens saw it and all took off.the hawks feathers were blowing in the wind so i don't know if that threw it off course as well.anyway the best part is that when it started to fly back up,3 crows angrily escorted it away.
does anyone know if the wind played a part.if it did i may just start letting them out on windy days.also ,what do i feed the crows to keep them around?
