An egg, an egg - finally AN EGG!!

The wait is finally over, yesterday afternoon our daughter found this lovely little green egg in one of the nest boxes.

As we only have one chicken capable of laying a green egg we know it came from our 20 week old Easter Egger

Great timing as well, the in-laws have come over from England for 2 weeks, had been in the house about 20 minutes and we get our first egg.

Now some people (not me of course) might say our Easter Egger took one look at the mother-in-law and unloaded an egg; me, I just think it was a coincidence

Anybody still waiting their first egg want to borrow my MIL for a week or so, you'd do us both a favour
