I want to know if the hybrid ducks can have ducklings?
I explain with an example: A mallard x red crested pochard hybrid with other mallar x red crested pochard hybrid. That can have babies?
Now I have a baby pochard an 5 mallards and I want to know it because looking google images, I found this beautiful bird:

It's spectacular!
Thanks

Birds are good at hybridizing, but I'm not sure if your pochard and a mallard can produce fertile offspring because they're two completely different species. Mallard breeds, which most domestic ducks are derived from, can breed with each other and produce fertile offspring because they're essentially all the same species.

I mean we breed crosses at our farm so you should be able to breed them..
What type of ducks do you breed and cosse?
desertdarlene, I know that they are very different species, and you made me think about the hybrid finches and small birds because here in spain it's very usual.
Thanks
