I live in S. Ohio and I have 14 hens and 2 roosters, 1 wife and 4 daughters. So I love my chickens. It is a way for me to relax. Really it is a way for me to keep my sanity in a house of estrogen. Lol. I love my chickens and we are growing our flock to 50 in the spring. Our family feels more homely since we got our chickens. We love our eggs also.

I have red pullets. Fantastic egg layers. 14 hens gave my a dozen eggs everyday until the temperature fell below freezing.

Are they Red Sex Links, Rhode Island Reds, or Production Reds? All of these are excellent layers and the Red Sex Links are egg laying machines.
