Since they refused to lay in the boxes (my fault I put shavings in there instead of hay) I've now find eggs in the weirdest places. LOL

We made up boxes several ways, and our girls preferred pine shavings over hay, straw etc.

Our Snow White prefers the straw - I had straw in all boxes but decided to switch to pine shavings. So I moved all the remaining straw in one box and shavings in the others and she went for the straw. So I took the pine shavings back out and have evenly distributed the straw throughout. Hoping everyone else likes the straw too when it comes time for them to join in the egg laying.

I had a big, rubber pan for the chickens to wade in when it was hot. One of them laid an egg in it. I guess they were wading and just felt the urge?
