Very interesting quadcam, I read your blog too, hope it all works out well for you. My husband built me a nice tumbling composter last year and I keep it full of yard debris. Not so much kitchen scraps now that I have chickens though. You can start your own compost pile now so you will have sompost ready for your spring garden. I also tried vermicomposting - raising red wigglers. I fed too many to my chickens for them to repopulate themselves so I have none now but will start that over in the spring too, you can easily do that and it will be a good protein source for your chickens. I would soooooo love to live on a farm but that just isn't the case so I make do with my gardening, chickens and pond in the city. Good luck to you and glad that dryer outlet got fixed!!! Darlene

Thats a nice blog Quadcam............quite the story........I landed in the country after living in Los Angeles most of my younger life.......wouldn't go back for a million bucks...I wish you all the best.....

Red worms are awesome little guys...No Smell, great fertilizer and always bait for fishin'... but you may wanna BIG bin if you are going to use them as Chicken treats LOL (they do love them as do my quail)

Good Luck!
