I'm not new to BYC, i'm just more of an addicted browser than poster

Anyways, I have 10 chickens in my backyard, 8 hens and 2 roos. And they give me about 5 eggs a day. 2 cochins I have are very old it seems like, and have stopped all egg production. And i have one unidentified pullet which looks like an EE cross.


About 5 minutes ago, I walked in to find my Delaware hen sitting on a nest. Typical, but suddenly she stands up and she just pushes out the egg right before me!

lol I have yet to get to see it but there was a post with pics once so I sort-of have seen. It must be quiet a sight!

I had one hen yelling at another in the favorite nest box and during her yelling she dropped one on the floor, kept yelling and then stormed off.
