angry birds egg strike help!

Hi!
I am keeping my hens in the coop and run since they all started laying on an impossible to reach place, they are pacing back and forth and have not laid eggs and its 3:45pm.. yesterday after they protested I let them out and they all RAN to the spot. Should I keep them in? could they get egg bound ? Help!

Where is the impossible to reach place? Pics?

oh its on the far end under our porch against the foundation about 8" high

we did from one end, it will be quite a project but it will have to get done, we have a wrap around deck, they are laying at the farthest lowest point. I didn't want to block them from under the porch since its a nice hide out from hawks

If you can’t get the eggs, then your going to have to block off that area. They won’t get egg bound, and they’ll be crabby, but there going to have to learn where to lay and not lay.

All of a sudden, I was getting nothing for eggs, and found an impossible spot too. I did block it off, and they were pacing, but finally they decided the nest boxes they had used forever, really were not that bad. Stick to your guns!

Your chickens lay in nesting boxes? Two of mine just lay in chairs. Spoiled little brats. They ALWAYS find a chair! If not, they sneak inside somehow and get in the sofa.

@CHICKENPOPPY, ALL of my chicken lay outside or in their coop...my dh would not be amused by chickens in the house!
