Ok so as some may remember we have 3 quails left. All 2 years old Japanese that have lived together since they were hatched.

Recently Pip (Female) has taken exception to George (Male) and his advances. She decided to chase him and peck the ever living snot out of him.
Now Marshmellow (Female) has joined in with the George bashing. They have been separated but after a week apart they still wanted to batter him.

I will mention at no time was George injured. They simply peck him 24/7 and chase him around.

Any ideas on how to get them back together?

Do you have enough hiding places for them? Try cleaning their pen and rearranging everything, then putting all of them in at once.

I just cleaned the whole thing out, hoovered, sprayed, fresh stuff.
Put them back in and......George is being hounded.

Poor George! The hiding places will help. Quail are very much "out of sight, out of mind" thinkers.

Then marshmellow by pip.
Then George by pip again,.
Now George is going after marshmellow.

I'm sorry to hear that your birds aren't getting along. You might try separating them into two groups for a couple days then putting them bac together.

It sounds like you just have a group that's incompatible, though. It happens sometimes. You may think about trading your boy with someone.

Hi, I keep splitting them. They have been together for 2 years until this point. I dont know what their issue tbh,.
I think it could be the christmas tree, its the only thing that changed lol
