Hello all so happy to have joined this wonderful family
I am a Brit living in Sardinia (Italy). Got my ladies and their gentleman about a year ago. I had a bird phobia for nearly 50 years till I got them( I’m 60 and have wasted so many years of having chickens ) I have now even incubated my 11 “teenagers” who are now about 11 weeks old. Got 2 newly hatched yesterday and hopefully a few more on their way.
My ladies are 1 Australop, 3 Brahmas(1 light and 2 Buff) and 8 “rescue” from a nearby poultry farm. My Gentleman Roo is an Ayam Cermani given to me by the man who sold me the Brahma and the Australop. My teenagers are all half Ayam’s 3 have feathery legs so I’m assuming they are half Brahma.I’m still trying to guess their sex. Of the two new chicks 1 up to now is from an egg that my ladies layed and 1 is from an olive green egg that was one a few different eggs a couple of friends gave me that I haven’t got an idea what they could be.... so if they hatch they will be surprises. The one that already has hatched is a pretty little thing.
