My 9 d/o chicks seem to like to "announce" when they poo. Does this mean they're in pain? There's poo on the fluff around their vents, but their vents are clear

All the males in my house do that, but I HAVE gotten past wiping bottoms! Perhaps they are part chicken?

Please make sure they are all truly getting their poo out....

I had a 4 day old chick that would chirp/"cry" (struggle) when he went, but the poo wasn't coming out. I took him to the vet who removed about 10 q-tips of poo out of his vent. I took him home and did warm compresses 3x a day for a day or two. Eventually, after a few days to a week he cleared up. I think he may have had a tiny wood shaving or something plugging him up.

Please be sure to check.
