Annoying Behaviors

My Chickens keep taking my nest box material out of the boxes, how can I prevent it?

I know of no practical way to keep it all in there if they are intent on kicking it out. Most people place a 4"-6" high board that blocks the bottom of the nest box opening, but this only slows down the removal.

Maybe some others have good ideas on this?

Once they have been emptied, I look at it as a reminder that it needs to be refilled with clean bedding
