Annoying chipmunk has moved in

Love it, Ron. I will take your word for it. :)

Haven't seen my little friend the past couple of days, we had a big snow and ice storm and maybe he got stuck outside somewhere...

Meanwhile, girls are dry and happy in the garage. Their run is a total skating rink today. Four of them came flying out of the coop this morning, hit the ice, and skidding several feet on their bellies after hitting the ice. They looked very confused! Counting down the days until spring when we re-build this wretched run so it has a covered roof!!!

@RonP - I guess the reason I asked that was because I saw this chipmunk eating directly from their feeder, which seemed like it couldn't be good. But yeah, you're right, they surely have encountered all our local wildlife and associated parasites in their run and in the substantial amount of time they spend free ranging.

I just didn't like seeing this thing eating from the same buffet, if you will!

We are all guilty of humanizing our benefactors.

"Listen" to your flock.

If the birds minded, they would have reacted.

If it bothers you, others have offered options.

Personally, I don't feed moochers.

They will become dependent on your food source and then suffer when you take it away.

..and the Little jerks will make more Little jerks....can you tell I dislike rodents? They can be incredibly destructive!

........ And they bring all their buddies to eat, too!

Mine put up with field mice that sneak into thru run and snitch seeds all day long. One of the little guys must have burped or pit his elbows on the table today. One of the girls looked at him, pecked him, and then they all had mouse for lunch.
