I have a pair of pigeons living indoors right now as their loft is being built. I have pigeon feed and I was warned that they do this, but my homer does it the worst. They throw their food. Everywhere. I wont mind this when they are outside obviously, but it seems like a giant waste to have them push food out of their bowl. I give them their food for ten minutes in the morning and 20 minutes before bed. However they like to go around the bottom of the cage and eat the stuff they had previously thrown out. Is there a way I could fix this? Sprinkling crushed raw peanuts with their food? Anything?
