not 'just' because I am cheap, but rather due to needing a quick solution, I whipped up 2- new auto-waterers for my new meaties today. Did you know that a standard size water bottle fits snuggly into a plastic peanut butter container? Yeah, neither did I until I tried it. PERFECT FIT!
I cut holes in the peanut jar, just big enough to fit about 6-chicks at a time in the waterer. The birds love it.
On my water bottles, there is a small waist in the middle that allows me to take some wire and wrap for a holder.. whala! tie the wire to the top cover of the brooder and done.
I will probably make a few more to get them through the next few weeks.
