Hi! This is what was thought was a pullet. She is a cross between a lavender araucana rooster and a barred rock hen. I’m questioning whether she’s a girl now, though. Yesterday she made lots of crowing attempts. However, she didn’t this morning. Any ideas on whether this is a boy or a girl? I can’t keep it if it’s a boy…. Any input is much appreciated!

In the future, keep in mind that that cross is what's called a sexlink. A barred mother x with a nonbarred father results in chicks that are sexable at hatch. Males have a cream dot on their heads. If you bought him, whoever sold him to you might have known this.
