Another coop or expand current one?

Our coop is 28 sq ft and the run is 48 sq ft. We have 7 hens and they free range all day but are playing with the idea of getting more. I know the general rule of thumb for chicken space but was thinking we could probably bend the rules since they free range all day. I also thought of expanding the run, or even getting a small coop but they're quite pricey.

i think you could just expand since they are basically just sleepin and layin in there.
