Well that's handy! Why waste money on a fancy incubator!

WOW! And believe it or not she will have 50 calls by supper for these eggs...........................

My aunts mother in law used to hatch eggs on the woodstove in the winter time. I dont know what she used to sit on top of the stove. But she said she got it from her mother.. I guess they didnt even have electric in their house when she was a kid.. It worked for her.. But I know it had to be watched closely and all them time.. She did it one time when we were visiting for the holidays.. She got a few to hatch before we left.. I thought it couldnt be done..

But I have never heard of any one doing it in a regular oven.. I dont see how you could keep it cool enough..

The oven baking isn't the only part. . . In lockdown, you can pick up the egg, tap it, and hear peeps! And if you don't like them, you can return them!! "Hi, I've got a dozen rotten but cooked eggs for you. . . They're stinking up the place, so . . Here. . ."

Wow, this reminds me of some YouTube videos I see, where people open their incubators while the chicks are pipping, zipping, and hatching. . And they PICK UP the EGGS!! During their zipping and hatching! . . . Congrats on your new shrink-wrapped chick.
