(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
My wife, daughter and I have been keeping ducks since about 2005. Our current ducks (as group of ducks is called a different collective noun based on where they are spotted.) live in the house being as they have lived in the house since the onset of Bird Flu here in the UK, therefore are House ducks. The plan was to put them outside where the duck house is, but they appear to have different plans.
(2) How many ducks do you have right now?
We currently have six ducks, one of which is a drake. This was not deliberate, just bad sexing.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Two Campbell whites, a Khaki Campbell, a Cayuga, a Indian Runner and a Swedish Blue.
(4) What are your favourite aspects of raising backyard ducks?
They are the best blood pressure reductive you could ever imagine. Great fun and as cheeky as they get.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Cars, computing (hobby and profession) and listening to music (search for #geoffsalbums on Twitter to see and listen to a selection.).
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a wife and daughter, who are both duck-trained.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
We were searching for some further information about ducks and came across your site.
