Another feather color question

I read pbjmakers question below and mine is similar-

I have a bunch of Black&White Japs, or they are supposed to be B&W. They are more of a buff color w/ the black tail.

Will they turn white with their first molt? Or do I have some bad genetics?

Of the 6 I have, 5 are roosters- barbecue anybody? The lone hen is much lighter than the roosters but far from white.

Any thoughts?

There are black tailed white japs and black tailed buff I believe.

You probably got buff instead of white.
