Its been a long time since I have posted and not just lurked around. Have started a new chapter in life and need to get a good incubator. Looking for around $200 and would like the auto turner really wanting to be able to hatch more rather than less. I am looking to hatch quail and chickens and maybe ducks at some point. But my priority is the quail currently. I keep looking at all these different incubators for sale and look at reviews and can't decide what is the best route to go. Are there any out there that hold 40 chicken eggs like the Styrofoam but are made of plastic? I would really like to get something that would last until this phase passes or a much larger incubator is needed.
Thanks in advance!

Brinsea would be best, don't know what you can get for $200 though, There is also some off brand ones on ebay for about $100 that holds 48 eggs and has built in quail/chicken egg racks. Hope i helped!

I have the Hova Bator Genesis 1588 and use my Little Giant Egg turner in it. It holds 42 chicken eggs and you can get the trays for the other size eggs. Think I spent about $150 for the bator and about $30 for the turner. It is so easy! Basically plug in and walk away! I had a cheaper styro bator prior and only ever got about 30% hatch rate. With the HB 1588 I just did 2 back to back hatches... 69% with the first and 87% with the one that just finished Wed. I LOVE this bator. It's digital and preset however I do have 2 other external thermometer/hygrometers that I use to double/triple check the built in which so far has been spot on.

Hope this helps!

Interesting I had no idea that the HB and the LG parts were kind of interchangeable. I wasnt sure if there was a step up from the hova bator before you get into the crazy ones.
