I believe I am waiting for my second hen to succumb to Marek’s. She was hatched in 2020. The hen that preceded her in death exhibited the same symptoms and was purchased at the same time. Their deaths are a couple a months apart
I have read that a suspected marek’s case needs to be isolated, but this seems like closing the barn door after the horses have been let out. And the longevity of the viral survivability makes it seem like a pointless act to remove and isolate a sick chicken. If you see a sick hen, aren’t they all already at risk?
