So, our eggs are beginning to hatch, we are right in the middle of day 21 and so far, 5 of the 32 eggs have had clean hatches. We see about 6 more that have pipped and beginning to hatch. My question is this, it appears we could have eggs hatching for the next 2-3 days, do I remove the baby chicks that have hatched once they are dry- I have my brroder set up and at 95 degrees on one end. Just not sure if I should leave them in the incubator for the next 3 days or not..
thanks

I always take them out, but then i have problems with the humidity after that because every time you open the incubator you lose humidity. I would just leave them. If you can hurry and snatch a couple of them out then go for it. Just dont want to lose a lot of humidity because you can shrink wrap the other chicks.

Chicks can survive 3 or 4 days after the hatch without assistance, so I wouldn't be in a hurry to remove them yet. Not so much because of concern for the chicks, but because you don't want to lose heat or humidity while the others are hatching. So I'd leave them alone for now and give the others a chance to hatch before you disturb them. JMO

thanks- we set up the incubator in a closet so we could control the temp better in the room the incubator was in. So far all the chicks are coing out fine but there are alot of eggs to hatch yet. We will leave them in the bator till Sunday then remove the hatchlings. thanks

With 32 eggs you should have quite a few hatched by this time tomorrow. Unless you have reason to do otherwise I think most people give them 24 days total, especially with that many eggs. I assume you are confident that they are all viable.

Congrats on your new chicks..... and remember to post pics.
