Another Newbie with questions

Hi, everyone! Im a first time chicken owner and really wanted them for pets. I have 6 golden sex link chicks at about 6wks old. When can I let them out in the yard? Also I am planning to add more....when I do, how old should chicks be before you put them in with older chickens?

Add like sizes and like numbers.
They can go outside when a couple days old as long as they have a mother hen or the electrical equivalent - a heat lamp.
I put chicks out in a brooder house and after 3 or 4 weeks I open the door and let them choose.
