Hi everyone, I'm AutumnMama and I'm so glad to have found this site! I've been wanting chickens for several years now, and we finally took the plunge a few weeks ago
I am so excited, and can't wait till the coop is all built and we start getting eggs from our girlies!
So, on to the questions....
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes, we had chickens briefly when I was younger (100 meat birds), but these are the first I've had as an adult.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
5, 3 week old chicks. They are supposed to all be females, hoping that's true!
(3) What breeds do you have?
Well, there were supposed to be 3 Buff Orpingtons and 2 Barred Rocks, but two of the 'Orpingtons' are looking very suspicious.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I think someone linked to it from the Mothering.com forums.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am a stay at home Mama of 4 children, ages ranging from 4 months to 7 years old. We currently have 6 kitties (3 of which were surprises, need to get mama altered asap!), and no other animals.
We live on a smallish lot in town (far NW US), and I aspire to have several acres to let chickens roam free and have a big garden.
