I am new to the forum and renewed to chickens. I raised them as a kid (30+ years ago) and now have 5 bantam pullets (I think pullets) for my children.

I love reading all the great information on this webpage.

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Lovely to hear you have got back into chicken keeping and that your children are helping you. It's a great hobby for all the family to enjoy.
If you are unsure that your bantams are pullets you could post some pics in the what breed gender section of the forum. Here is the link ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this

Be sure to ask any questions that you may have, everyone here to help and very friendly.
Enjoy BYC and all the chicken chat :frow

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join our flock. Raising chickens is a wonderful experience for children. My granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) loves our chickens. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your bantam pullets.

Thanks

for the welcome. I would like to get your thoughts on this. Particularly the bantam experts. Do you think this is a roo or pullet.

How old is it? Unless it is older than I think it is, given the size and redness of its comb and wattles, it looks like a Red Cochin cockerel.

7.5 weeks when this was taken. I'm pretty sure it's a roo.
