I am so glad I found you all!!!

I'm Cat, stay at home mom to 4 kids (6, 3 and 18 mo old twins), Sky (our pit bull baby), Icis (cat) and our 7 "girls" (barred rock).
We live on almost 3 acres and along with the girls have a nice veggie and herb garden and vermicomposting (raising worms)

Never imagined myself (city girl) living in rural SC with kids and chicks,, but am so loving it!!

I'm new too! New chicks, new everything - never had chickens before, so this is an adventure. I'm located in the giant city of Cope, SC (less than 120 people at last count), Mom to three nearly grown boys, three dogs, a ton of barn cats and 16 new chicks.

My new babies are... five Rhode Island Reds, six silver-laced Wyandottes (okay I admit it, I bought 'em because they're beautiful) and five Buff Orpingtons (who can resist little gold balls that give you eggs?) Building the run for the henhouse now... and rapidly finding out just how much fun it is to feed cabbage butterfly caterpillars to a brooder full of chicks. Talk about a football game!

My only hope is I don't bother you guys too much with questions!
