This one was fine yesterday this morning it’s walking on its haunches and usually stumbling backwards. Seems to be shivering when picked up just kinda sits hunched up. No issues with the remaining 14.

I had a quail hatch like that, culled at 6 weeks as he never improved: hobbled around on his hocks and shook all the time. Interesting that yours hatched normal and is nw having issues.

I figured it was a genetic defect (homozygous silver is troublesome in quail).

Yeah they were all doing fine got up this morning and it’s doing that. I did read it could be vitamin D deficiency so I started adding poultry cell back to the water other than that not sure what to do. They’re getting 30% game bird starter clean big brooder and a heat plate to get under.

Update on this guy incase anybody has to deal with this. I had these poults on water with poultry cell added they were all doing great so I just started giving plain water. This one started acting like he did and I started adding the poultry cell back to the water. He’s up walking today not sitting on his hocks big feet are kinda spread like a mild case of spraddle leg. Other than that he’s up with the rest acting normal.

I’m glad he’s better! My best guess would be some back deformity or injury. Maybe it’s being helped to heal.
