I'm learning everyday. I've sorta been stuck on learning all about EE's since 3 of mine are suppoed to be that. I also have 2 grey leghorns and a barred rock (all hens I HOPE) and I needed to know if anyone has any info on them? I know that the leghorns will lay white eggs and the rock will lay brown. But what's the size, coloring, start to lay age, characteristics. Anything I should be looking out for with them?

Thankx for the info guys...I've been learning so much from BYC members!

Any pics of those leghorns? They don't come in grey they do come in silver but they are hard to find..possibly you have a Blue Andalusian ... new chicken people call mine grey when they come out here.We have Blue Andy's as well as leghorns in nearly every color they come in-the ones we don't have now we have had at one point

We have Plymouth Rocks as well in Barred(Barred Rocks) Buff and Blue

Here's the newest one that I'm being told is a leghorn... I'll try and find pics of my older two. They are 5 wks...this one is about 4 wks.

That does look like a white leghorn chick..it will lay very well for you and they lay young around 4-5 months. We love our leghorns here-can always count on breakfast
